A TWISTED OBJECT
Playful take on everyday objects
A playful exercise for thinking differently. This project was a way of understanding the simplest objects and decoding them creatively. The project brief required me to strip a common object of its normal use and contradict its logic to create the absurd by using different approaches. here, the object assigned was a comb.
RESEARCH AND IDEATION
The project ideation revolved around experimenting with form and material by altering the comb’s basic features—its shape, structure, and usability. Ideas included replacing bristles with pins or human hair and modifying the handle. To add variety, I created a pair — a male and a female comb — allowing further exploration of design and form.

FINAL RESULT
The Female comb is smaller and has curvature on the sides whereas the male comb is cubical and strong. For my final idea and execution I used the spring to give the end product a bouncy and unstable feel.
